ENERGY OF THE SOUND 2020 – ONLINE / PART 1

D I D (Hania Piosik)- since over 10 years collaborating with artists of various music and art genere. Took part in international art festivals (inter alia ; Garbicz Festival, Soundrive, CNK; Transitions Festival), hacklabs and art residencies (i.a. WISP LABORATORY LEIPZIG, Ortsgespraeche/Goethe Institut). Her main passion is searching for sound anomalies that influence the passing time (one of such is her latest experimental LP “Life is a ping pong delay” released by Gusstaff Records, that is a divagation on cyclic phenomena in the universe). During peculiar liveacts, main mission is to re-enact the sense of security in attendees (upcoming: END OF XIBALBA LP/ 2020). Floating on the waves of infinite loops, brings up particular feelings of „levitation”. Problematic for some, might be the fact, that journey is supported by improvised vocal tales led in commonly unknown language… But what if strickt definitions of words sometimes hold us back from understanding the core meaning and intention?

The band’s music is an original mixture of guitar noiz, folk, cold wave, big beat and early black metal. In line with what you would expect from a band of this name, the lyrics of all songs are about dying, death and passing away. The group has so far released four studio albums and several publications with music created for theater plays. Nagrobki played about one hundred concerts in Poland and abroad, including at the largest Polish music festivals, such as: Opener Festival, Tauron Nowamuzyka, Off Festival, Unsound, also supported Jacek White’s concert in Poznań.

Psychogeography is a musical duo founded in 2019 by Paweł Krzaczkowski aka Zajwert and Piotr Łyszkiewicz, combining the sound of prepared piano, wind instruments, synthesizers and various unusual acoustic devices. In September this year the band released their debut album Random Roots (Gusstaff Records, Don’t Sit On My Vinyl!).At the concert within the framework of the Sound Energy the band will present material based partly on the album Random Roots released in September this year and a number of new compositions for wind instruments and synthesizers.Paweł Krzaczkowski aka Zajwert – composer and performer of electronic and instrumental music, multimedia artist, poet. Author/co-author of many music projects for such institutions as Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Audio Art, Labirynt Gallery, Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum. Author of the poem Möbius’ Ribbons (Rita Baum, 2017) and the music album King Midas Has Donkey’s Ears (BAS Records, 2019). Apart from solo activities (as Zajwert) Paweł Krzaczkowski is a member of Psychogeografia (with Piot Łyszkiewicz), Woyfer Zajwert (with Sławomir Wojciechowski) and Klangwerk 936 (with Kacper Ziemianin).Piotr Łyszkiewicz – saxophonist, improviser, producer, songwriter. Worked with Mitch & Mitch, Ziemia Planeta Ludzi, P.K.P., The Kurws, Second Exit, Piotr Damasiewicz, Małe Instrumenty, Panna Adrianna, Mela Koteluk, Artur Rojek, Krzysztof Zalewski, Borja Soto, Ballady i Romanse.
